We have just concluded our Bat Mitzvah course for the first part of the year. Girls enjoyed 6 jam packed lessons of learning and fun. Each lesson came along with a hands-on practical activity so the girls could actually live and put into practice, everything that they were taught. We finished our lessons with each girl creating their very own clock. These clocks are quite significant, because instead of numbers, these clocks have pictures of the girls, one from each year of their life. As the girls put it themselves., ‘It was a great activity to end the course with’.

What a great turnout we had at our Children’s Miniature Seder on 1st day Pesach. Children loved experiencing the Seder in their very own way. They drank 4 cups of grape juice, sang Mah Nishtana and ate Matzah. They followed and performed every step of the Seder from Kadesh to Karpas to Maror and finding the Afikoman – using our very own South Head Synagogue Youth Pesach Haggadah’s – which they were able to take home at the end of the service, to use at their Seder’s for the 2nd Seder.
